Abstract: Watershed 27 or Hard Luck Creek is a north-northeast facing reference catchment encompassing 96.5 acres (39ha) or .15080 sq. miles. The elevation ranges from 3380ft (1061m) at the weir to 4770ft (1454m). The average land slope is 54.7%, and the average channel slope is 33.2%. The channel is a total of 3894ft (1187m) long.

Methods/Experimental Design: Discharge for WS27 is measured with a 120 degree v-notch sharp crested weir.  The weir blade is installed in a concrete wall that serves as a
broad-crested weir for flows over 3-feet. The first record was collected on November 2, 1946 using an FW-1 chart recorder. The recorder was changed to a Fisher-Porter punch tape analog to digital recorder on September 9, 1964, then upgraded to the current Stevens Type A/F Logger, Model 8901 on May 10, 1994.

CSM - cubic feet per second per sq. mile
CFS - cubic feet per second, for WS27 cfs = csm / 6.632
CMS - cubic meters per second = cfs x 0.028317

Sampling Frequency: Head recorded at 5-minute intervals.
Data Columns: NO - Sequential number
ID - Watershed number
CYR - Calendar year
MONTH - Month
DAY - Day
MIN_FLOW - Minimum flow for 24 hour period; CSM (cubic feet per second per sq. mile)
MAX_FLOW - Maximum flow for 24 hour period; CSM (cubic feet per second per sq. mile)
MEAN_FLOW - Mean flow for 24 hour period; CSM (cubic feet per second per sq. mile)
