| Abstract: |
These data form the
long-term measurement (1991 to present) of tree status (living versus dead) and tree diameter growth. This
project, which is ongoing, is
crucial to other studies (listed immediately below) by Coweeta LTER Co-PIs and graduate
students. Studies that this project supports: 1004: Growth mortality relationships for southern Appalachian trees. 1005: Tree seedling densities across an elevation and moisture gradient. 1006: Seed bank densities across an environmental gradient. 1007: Rhododendron maximum cover across an elevation gradient. 1008: Seed production and dispersal. 1013: Terrestrial Gradient Microclimate Measurements. 1015: Litterfall on elevational gradient. 1016: Litterfall on elevational gradient. 1017: Litterfall on the elevational gradient. 1018: Litterfall on the elevational gradient. 1019: Litterfall on the elevational gradient. 1020: Litterfall on the elevational gradient. 1021: Litterfall on the elevational gradient. 1022: Gradient dendrometer band measurements. 1023: Gradient soil moisture measurements. 1024: Fine root dynamics along an elevational gradient in the southern Appalachian mountains - 1993. 1025: Fine root dynamics along an elevational gradient in the southern Appalachian mountains - 1994. 1026: Fine root dynamics along an elevational gradient in the southern Appalachian mountains - 1994. 1027: Fine root dynamics along an elevational gradient in the southern Appalachian mountains - 1994. 1028: Canopy gradient thrufall. 1029: Canopy gradient frass. 1030: Soil chemistry along the canopy gradient.
