The GPS Pathfinder® Pro XRS System

Overview

The GPS Pathfinder® Pro XRS System with Asset Surveyor is a GIS data collection tool that includes a GPS receiver, hand-held TSCI® data collector, accessories (antenna and cables) and the Asset Surveyor field data collection software. It is ideal for mapping applications that require accuracy between three and five meters.

Pathfinder Office software is included with the Pro XRS system. It provides the tools needed for effective planning, data dictionary creation, differential correction, and export to a Computer Aided Design (CAD) system or Geographic Information System (GIS).

The Trimble Pro XRS receiver is a top-of-the-line mapping GPS receiver designed to provide 0.5 meter differential accuracy. The Pro XRS contains a GPS and differential beacon receiver in one. The Pro XRS receiver combines a satellite differential receiver with the GPS and MSK beacon differential receiver in a single housing. With one receiver and antenna, the Pro XRS allows the flexibility to choose from different sources of real-time corrections.

Operational Instructions

This manual provides instructions for setting up the system, collecting data, downloading them, differentially correcting coordinates using a base station in Franklin, North Carolina, and exporting them to ESRI shapefile format.
